Então que és tu, meu Deus? Que és, senão o Senhor Deus? “Pois quem é Deus além do S ENHOR ? E quem é rocha senão o nosso Deus?” (Sl 18.31). Altíssimo, boníssimo, poderosíssimo, onipotente ao extremo; misericordiosíssimo, mas extremamente justo; misteriosíssimo, mas sempre presente; belíssimo, mas extremamente forte; estável, mas incompreensível; imutável, mas mudando tudo; nunca novo, nunca velho; tudo renovando e envelhecendo os orgulhosos, que não se dão conta disso; sempre atuando, sempre em repouso; sempre acumulando, mas sem precisar de nada; sustentando, enchendo e sempre te espalhando; criando, nutrindo e amadurecendo; buscando, mas tendo tudo. Tu amas, mas sem paixão; és zeloso, sem ansiedade; arrependes-te, mas não te afliges; ficas irado, mas sereno; mudas tuas obras, mas teu propósito não muda; recebes de volta o que encontras, sem nunca tê-lo perdido; nunca estás necessitado, mas os lucros te alegram; jamais cobiças, mas cobras juros (cf. Mt 25.27).

Os momentos de fraquezas, provações e perseguições que sobrevem contra nós, não são para nos desanimar, mas são para que sejamos por meio delas, aperfeiçoados/melhorados. Nesse avanço, cumprimos o propósito de sermos transformados, de fé em fé, segundo o caráter do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo. Precisamos ouvir o que diz a Palavra e enxergar nas provações, oportunidades de aperfeiçoamento.
